March Favorites

Hey everyone! So it is, once again, time for my monthly favorites. These are all the products I have been loving for the month of March.

EYES

Maybelline Color Tattoo By Eye Studio 
Too Cool

I tend to use this product as a base more often than I use it as an eyeshadow by itself. However, it is a very good product when used as an eyeshadow alone. This specific color is perfect for highlighting the inner corner or browbone.

Maybelline Gel Liner By Eye Studio
Blackest Black

I use this eyeliner every day on my waterline. Its staying power is phenomenal. I will also occasionally use it to line my upper lash line. I think gel liner is really good for doing wings because with a brush you have more control.

Maybelline Unstoppable Eyeliner
Onyx

I really like this eyeliner. At first I didn't like the pigmentation or the staying power, but after using it for a while I noticed a great change and this product is actually really good.  

NYX Liquid Eye Liner

Baby Green, Pink, Blue Eyes

I have recently come to love this, especially for the Spring. I love putting them on my lower lash-line for a little extra sparkle. 

Maybelline Great Lash Lots Of Lashes Mascara

Very Black

This has been one of my favorite mascaras for the longest time now. It is one of the most lengthening, volumizing mascaras I have ever tried. 

Maybelline Falsies Mascara

Very Black

I'll admit, the name of this product is hype. It definitely doesn't make it look like you have on false lashes, however, it is very lengthening and holds on very well. 

FACE

Rimmel London Natural Bronzer

Sun Bronze

 I used to use this all the time and I just recently got back to it. This is great as an everyday contour or you can use it to give you face a nice natural glow.

Hot Tamale

I heard a lot of bad things about these blushes but this one I liked a lot. The pigmentation is really great. The staying power, however, isn't that great. 

LIPS

Revlon Lip Butter

Cupcake, Sweet tart, Tutti Frutti

This product is so moisturizing which is great for a person (like myself) with dry lips. But aside from this product's moisturizing properties these three colors in particular are great for Spring and Summer, in my opinion. 

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream

Antwerp

I really like the color and creaminess of this product, but it is really drying to the lips, I've noticed.

Zodiac Series: Gemini

Hey all you Gemini, this one's for you! 

DIY Lip Scrub

Hey everyone! So I was thinking of fun posts I could do to keep things interesting. So I thought, how about I do some DIYs. I love DIY alternatives so I don't have to go out and buy stuff; even if it's drugstore, it's still money, and plus, making stuff is just fun. So today's DIY is going to be a lip scrub. 

To start you will need: 

AND/OR

 To add a moisturizing factor to the lip scrub. In this case, I will be using both.

You can also use a tooth pick or a makeup spatula. 

To exfoliate the lips and remove dead skin.

To condition the lips, as the sugar can be harsh.

To hold the finished product.

Directions:

Add a small amount of Petroleum Jelly onto a plate.

Add some lip balm. You do not have to use both lip balm and Vaseline, however if you use just one you should use more. 

Next, add sugar. Make sure it is coarse or it will not exfoliate properly. I am just using granulated sugar.

Add the olive oil to the mix.

Stir it together and add more lip balm if needed. I actually ended up adding two more chunks.

It should look somewhat like this when finished.

Add it to your container.

Apply it to your lips.

Then wipe it off. 

Your lips should be nice and smooth now.

Want #2 *Oxford Pumps*

Some of you may know that I have always loved vintage fashion. One of the aspects of vintage fashion is oxfords. I love oxfords, I think they are some of the cutest shoes, but I particularly prefer Oxford Pumps because I prefer heels over flats.  

The classic black and cream/white oxford. I would prefer it were a wingtip however. The Patent leather mixes well with the matte cream. 

This is a less common color selection but the wingtip and ankle bootie structure of this shoe is adorable. 

I just thought these were unique; not the typical oxford. The white canvas is very different. And the brown is a nice compliment. It's kind of like a distressed leather, very different. 

Oxfords look very cute with all sorts a dresses and skirts, florals and pastels especially. I hope to get a pair for summer.
